On 5th January, Day 3 of the Food for Hunger Service Week was meaningfully observed by organizing an awareness and nutrition program for students of a government school. The main objective of the activity was to educate children about the importance of healthy eating habits and to create awareness regarding the harmful effects of junk food. During the session, club members interacted with the students in a simple and child-friendly manner, explaining how a nutritious and balanced diet plays a vital role in maintaining physical strength, boosting immunity, and developing a healthy and active mind. Students were encouraged to include fruits, vegetables, and homemade food in their daily meals while avoiding junk and processed foods. After the awareness session, nutritious food was served to the students during school hours. The children happily accepted the meal and enjoyed it with great enthusiasm. The initiative not only provided nourishment but also instilled valuable knowledge about healthy lifestyle choices at a young age. The program was successfully conducted and received positive feedback from school authorities and students alike, fulfilling the true spirit of the Food for Hunger initiative.
