LIONS SUNRISE OXYGEN PARK INAUGURATED Gandhinagar, 30th August 2025 – A remarkable step towards environmental conservation and community wellness was celebrated today with the inauguration of the Lions Sunrise Oxygen Park at Gandhinagar. This green initiative has been jointly developed by the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and Lions Clubs International, District 3232-B3 with the active leadership of the Lions Clubs of Ahmedabad City, Ahmedabad Metro City, and Gandhinagar Metro. 🌿 The inauguration was performed by Lion Manoj Shah, International Second Vice President, Lions Clubs International, in the gracious presence of Lion Hiren Mewada, District Governor 3232-B3. Both leaders also joined in planting trees, symbolizing Lions’ commitment to a cleaner, greener future. 🌟 Project Highlights : 3,000+ oxygen-generating trees and plants planted with proper irrigation and maintenance system. Total land area of 80,000 sq. ft. fully developed as a community-friendly green zone. Infrastructure includes boundary wall, security gates, landscaped gardens, seating areas and pathways. Facilities designed for all age groups: Jogging Track for fitness lovers Senior Citizen Sitting Zone for leisure and social bonding Children’s Play Area for recreation Yoga & Meditation Zone for wellness Birds Point & Mango Tree Senior Citizen Spot for eco-connectivity Expected to benefit over 1,00,000 citizens annually, offering them clean air, a healthy environment, and recreation facilities. 🙏 Leadership Messages : Lion Manoj Shah , International 2nd Vice President, appreciated the vision and commitment of District 3232-B3 and said: “This park is not just a garden; it is a gift to future generations. Lions across India should replicate such projects as green lungs for their cities.” Lion Hiren Mewada , District Governor 3232-B3, congratulated the project committee and shared: “This Oxygen Park truly reflects our district theme – ‘सर्व मङ्गल’. It represents holistic welfare through service, sustainability, and community engagement. Our mission is to encourage every club to take up at least one environmental project that impacts society at large.” 👥 Distinguished Presence : Smt. Ritaben Patel, MLA Gandhinagar North – assured complete support from the Gujarat Government for such green initiatives. Smt. Meeraben Patel, Mayor, Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation – praised the Lions Clubs’ leadership in public service and civic partnership. PID Lion Pravin Chhajed – congratulated the district for this exemplary initiative. Civic leaders including Mr. Ashish Dave (President, Gandhinagar City BJP GMC), Mr. Anil Patel (President, Gandhinagar District BJP), Mr. Gaurang Vyas (Chairman, Standing Committee), Mrs. Sonaliben Patel (Chairman, Horticulture Committee, GMC), and several Corporators also extended their good wishes. 👏 Special Appreciation : Heartfelt abhinandan to Dr. Bina Patel (Ahmedabad City), Lion Divyang Mewada (Ahmedabad Metro City), and Lion Rajubhai Patel (Gandhinagar Metro) for their dedicated leadership and vision in making this park a reality.
